part of one of my essays

"[society] has made happiness much more complicated than it needs to be. Happiness can be found anywhere in everything. It is a search throughout our entire lives, all we need to do to find it and live a life of happiness. Be a person who laughs at the small things in life, someone who can smile because it is a sunny day, who can enjoy the silence of a walk in a park and the quieting of one's own soul. Happiness can be as simple as a rose or as complicated as love. Happiness does not have to be sitting at the top of the social pyramid; it can be as simplistic as looking at the sapphire sky."
